Caroline Gombé is a full certified acting teacher in NY State since 2014 with 6+ years of experience teaching in NY public and private schools. She's been teaching for NYFA since 2014 and has been working with JCAL in the CASA program in NY public schools. She also works as a private acting and dialect coach. Caroline holds an MA in Acting - performing techniques at UCONN.​​​

ONLINE CLASSES

AGE GROUP: K - 2nd GRADE
Storytime with Caroline I link to full class description
During the online session the students will read one short story from a moral stories collection. They will play/interpret the different characters in the story. At the end we will discuss what is the moral of the story - what have we learned.
45 minutes (*all classes start with a short physical & vocal warm up)

AGE GROUP: 3rd - 5th GRADE

During the online sessions the students will read a story from a collection of age adequate short stories. They will learn elements of analyzing a written work and dive into the technique of reading out loud. They will also have the chance to learn new, literary words.

AGE GROUP: 5th GRADE & UP
Stage reading & character study link to full class description
During the online sessions the students read an age adequate short play. They will  be assigned specific characters. In a short Q&A they learn the basic priciples of building a character. They then read the play again.

Monologue study
During the online sessions the students will work on a monologue of their choice or chosen by the teacher. 1 hour
Repertory
During the online sessions the students will build a repertory of monologues: contemporary (comedic, dramatic) classic (comedic,
dramatic). 4- 6  sessions of 1 hour
